Update on Deportees

We are happy to report that, to date, none of the deportees has been sent to Cambodia. After communicating with the Cambodian Ambassador to the United States and requesting his help, H.E. Chum Bunrung has assured that he will give his 100% to keep as many Khmer deportees in America as possible.

While this is only a temporary remedy, it shows the power of unity when the community come together to have one strong voice.

Meanwhile, a coalition of Khmer and non-Khmer groups from Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAc), SEAFN, Manforward, Searac, Rad AZN, CSAM, and others continue to fight for a Governor Pardon and short and long-term intervention by Congressional leaders.

Thank you to Ms. Joua Lee ( she’s not Khmer ) and she cared enough to create this video and gave permission to show and share.
